Alana Guzman is an artist and curator from the Ciudad Juarez/ El Paso border painting under the name “alaniux”.

Through her oil paintings she explores the formation of the self within the constraints of culture. Her work examines cultural tradition at the intersection of perceived identity and reality where the occult, the vulnerable, and the infinite reside.

Her work has been featured at the Smithsonian of the American Latino in Washington DC. Alana holds three degrees in Fine Art, International Relations, and Economics.
